This is a letter that I recieved from Tom Rylance who lives in New Zealand,
Tom who goes back many years started work at the Ingham in 1948.

I don't remember the names
of these two nurses.

These nurses were trying to branch out. The photo was taken in the grounds of the THE HAUNTED HOUSE. Nola is on the right.
She said, "they were looking for apples".

Below. This is Tom with two of the Domestic Staff

Tom lives in New Zealand. All the photographs on this page were supplied by him.
This is the "haunted house". We were engaged in dismantling the conservatory, part of which
you can see. We discovered, (after Harry Taylor received a shock) that the power had not been disconnected. I helped Jack
Gardener build a greenhouse on his allotment, using the material salvaged from the conservatory. I charged him three shillings
an hour for my labour.

Below.
You will realise that the favourite gardener is missing off this photo, because i was the cameraman.

Lauran Batty and Nurse Williams. They were on the back lawn, East House where the night shift nurses used to sleep.

Above. Mary Bullock is in the centre, i can't remember the names
of the other two.
